Scottish luxury goods group Chanrossa acquires a majority stake in Feragaia to create Scotland’s Leading New Wave Spirits portfolio.
Feragaia, Scotland’s Free Spirit, has received a majority investment from R&B Distillers, the Spirits & Drinks business of Scotland’s Chanrossa, in its pursuit to create Scotland’s Leading New Wave Spirits business.
This investment furthers Feragaia’s mission to ‘elevate no and low drinking experiences’ through Chanrossa’s expertise in growing global brands with values rooted in Scottish provenance, quality, community and innovation.
Feragaia will join the portfolio of R&B Distillers which already includes the leading new wave single malt and gin brand, The Isle of Raasay Distillery. It is also advancing plans for The Machrihanish Distillery, a field-to-bottle farm distillery in Campbeltown coming soon, and operates a niche single cask whisky brand and ecommerce platform, Caskshare.
By enhancing the portfolio of likeminded brands with shared principles, this development accelerates the bold, global growth plans of both The Isle of Raasay Distillery and Feragaia. The two brands align in offering a progressive drinking experience to the modern, discerning consumer and are both based upon the principles of inclusivity and enjoyment, while being rooted in provenance and authenticity.

The Isle of Raasay Distillery produces a globally acclaimed single malt whisky and gin and is based on the island of Raasay on the west coast of Scotland. Boasting breathtaking landscapes and rich geology, the island is home to just 161 people. Founded around making whisky more approachable, enjoyable and fun, the distillery’s whisky and gin are currently exported to over 50 markets worldwide. The addition of Feragaia, Scotland’s Free Spirit, adds to the ambitions of the Scotland-born spirits business, its contemporary outlook and inclusive vision for the drinking experience.
While R&B Distillers has the controlling stake in the business, Feragaia’s co-founders, Jamie Wild and Bill Garnock, remain as fully involved shareholders. They will work alongside R&B Distillers to realise the overall and aligned objectives of the Spirits & Drinks business of Chanrossa.
Bill Garnock, Co-Founder of Feragaia, says:
“Scotland has a history for building standout brands, from inspiring places. Feragaia and Raasay together hit that message home, both here in Scotland and with our customers across the world. It is a very exciting time to be on Team Feragaia!”
William Dobbie, Managing Director, R&B Distillers, adds:
“We are extremely excited to add Feragaia to our portfolio and continue towards our goal of creating Scotland’s leading new wave spirits & drinks business. Our brands are all about creating a more progressive and inclusive drinking experience across categories, while delivering supreme quality on every occasion.”
